“Rapzone” is a straight-up slapper from the late Stēzo, who is joined on the mic by fellow rap legends Special Ed and Tash (of Tha Alkaholiks).
The track is also the latest single from Stēzo’s forthcoming posthumous album, ‘The Last Dance,’ which is produced entirely by his close friend and collaborator, Chris Lowe. And on “Rapzone,” Lowe delivers a driving, raw instrumental for all three emcees to showcase their talents and do what they do best: rap circles around the competition.
Like all of ‘The Last Dance,’ “Rapzone” is a firm reminder of Stēzo’s talents that he continued to work on and fine-tune over the years before his tragic passing in 2020. It’s also a testament to the love of the hip-hop community that surrounded both Lowe and his late friend, as the album also features the likes of Biz Markie, Grand Puba, Masta Ace, Edo G, and many others.
“Rapzone” is available now for instant-grat off the digital pre-order for, ‘The Last Dance’ which officially drops Aug 27 via DSPs as well as on CD and either red or classic black vinyl through Blacklife Records.
